It's been over a year and a half since Liatris Records became an entity and in that time we have been moving slowly and deliberately through a number of small projects. The intention has always been to grow at a sustainable pace, working with good people to create high-quality art. 

Beginning with the release of “Perihelion Day” by upup/OVER (https://liatrisrecords.bandcamp.com/album/perihelion-day) in May of 2024, Liatris has been gaining momentum and focus. In the intervening year we have overseen a series of digital releases by the Mike Munson Trio and a long-form instrumental collaboration by Pat Keen + Mike Munson titled “Pneuma.” 

We are excited to announce Liz Draper's (Mankato, MN) forthcoming debut solo record “Meno"! Release plans are in the works, with details coming soon. Liz has long been been a full-time touring musician with a host of Grammy-nominated acts and cemented her place in the regional music scene, but until now she has never released her own music! We are honored to be working alongside such a powerhouse of creativity, femininity and drive. 

The summer season is full of live appearances by Liatris artists throughout Minnesota and beyond, follow Mike, Liz and Lars-Erik on social media to find out where each is playing on any given week. We are also always looking ahead to the next seasons, the next projects. The Mike Munson Trio heads back to Carpet Booth Studios (https://www.carpetbooth.com/) in September to finish work on a full-length album and Liz's “Meno” will become available this winter. The work continues, but it hardly feels like work when you are surrounded by good people making great art.
