About Liatris Records
From the Latin name for the Prairie Blazing Star, Liatris Records set deep roots long before any showy colors emerged and will hold firm to this place. Unintimidated by wild spaces, eccentric people and the cyclical rhythms of life, Liatris stands tall and steady amidst constant change.
Among other things, Liatris nurtures and guides recording projects, encourages new explorations by established artists, organizes and curates regional performances, and offers hospitality and good counsel to road-weary travelers of all stripes.
An outgrowth of many years of behind the scenes work in the music industry, Liatris is not a traditional record label so much as a mechanism for supporting artists and musicians in their pursuits. Founded by diane leutgeb munson in 2024 and located in Winona, MN, we value small towns, big ideas and mutually beneficial relationships.
